Amanda Mordey is a retired headteacher with over 35 years’ experience in special education. A passionate advocate for pupils with additional needs, she led two specialist schools and now supports SEND governance, specialist provision monitoring and school improvement.

Amanda has championed Beyond Words for years, contributing to its research, mentoring, and continued impact in education.
