Product Description:

Going to the doctor can be worrying. For children going for the first time or who are shy or nervous about the experience, it can be hard to talk about their thoughts and feelings.

This book shows Max and his mum going to the doctor and explains what happens to them there. Feelings, information and consent are all explained. There are no words to get in the way. The story gently prepares the reader before check-ups and treatments.

The authors are senior teachers and health care professionals with experience in children’s mental health and primary care. The artist is a graphic designer, illustrator and lecturer at the University of Arts in Poznań, Poland.
