This story follows Amy who is feeling a bit lonely and is excited when she meets a nice-looking man online. When he asks her to share some photos of herself, she thinks it’s ok. He asks her to undress herself during a video chat, and then threatens to share photos he has taken of her. Amy is scared and doesn’t know what to do. Her friends help her to block him from her phone, and report him to the police. The story ends with Amy finding safer ways to meet people in person and online, including joining a Beyond Words book club.

Created in collaboration with self-advocates and experts, this book is designed to support discussions about online grooming and sextortion. It’s part of a set with Being Safe Online: Ben’s Story, which focuses on online bullying.
