‘Max Goes to School’ is published

We had such a lovely day on Wednesday, 12th November, celebrating the release of our new book, Max Goes to School - a story all about starting school and everything that comes with that exciting new chapter.

Our launch event took place at Millbank House, just across the road from the iconic House of Lords! We were joined by the brilliant team who helped bring the book to life, including the book’s illustrator, Lucyna Talejko-Kwiatkowska (who flew in all the way from Poland!), author Marie Grant (unfortunately, co-author Keri-Michèle Lodge couldn't attend), and our founder, Baroness Sheila Hollins.

We were also thrilled to be joined by some of the children who shared their experiences of starting primary school, helping us to write the story; plus a group from one of the schools that trialled the book, giving us vital feedback to help shape the story into what it is today. It was wonderful to celebrate everyone’s hard work together over sandwiches and a group reading of the new book.

We had a lovely time reading the book together, and thankfully, the sun was shining so we could take some photos together! After the event, the children, their teachers, and members of our team were treated to a tour of the House of Lords, which was a fascinating and memorable experience!

A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to Max Goes to School and to all who joined us to celebrate. We’re so proud of this book and so grateful to everyone who made the launch such a success.”
