About the module:

This elearning module helps maternity care professionals learn how to use Beyond Words’ stories and pictures, as well as the Together Project resources, to support people with communication around pregnancy and parenting.

Course overview:

Session 1: Introduction to Inclusive Maternity Care

Session 2: Introduction to Beyond Words and Visual Literacy

Session 3: How to use 'Having a Baby' book

Session 4: Introducing Together Project and Maternity Passport

Session 5: How to use 'Loving Babies' book

Session 6: Learning Disability, Autism & Legislation

The simple but powerful techniques explained in this module will equip you with the skills and confidence to use our picture resources to deal with questions, concerns, or fears about a range of issues people may face when having a baby.

Completing this module will take about two hours, including watching the videos. Some additional time is required to practice what you’ve learned and make reflective notes. Once the module is complete you will receive a certificate.

This module also includes a FREE download of our ebooks, Having a Baby and Loving Babies, and information on how to access free downloads of the Together Project resources.
